About the Event
We invite you to attend the upcoming Stakeholder Meetings on June 27th at the Pepsi Building at the Crossing at the Dan. The meeting is part of the 2045 Long Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) planning process for the Danville-Pittsylvania area. The LRTP will use citizen, stakeholder, and government input to decide how tens of millions of dollars of state and federal funding will be used to improve how people move around the region – whether by driving, biking, walking, taking the bus or more. Transportation funding is crucial to stimulating economic activity in the region and to increasing the wellbeing of the area’s residents.
The meeting kicks off the public engagement portion of the process. As a key stakeholder in the area, your participation at this stage in the process is crucial to inform us of the transportation needs of the Danville-Pittsylvania area. If you have opinions about how to improve the roads, bridges, bike amenities, bus service or anything else related to how you move around the City and County, please attend the Stakeholder Meeting to voice your concerns, ideas and visions for moving the region forward!
